EDUCATION:
I am a proud CACS Alumni (St. Mary’s School at the time) and a graduate of Chilton High School.
I attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary/Middle Level Education 1-8 and English PK-9.

WORK EXPERIENCE:  While attending high school and college I tried out many occupations including daycare, journalism, cheese and aluminum factories, food service, cleaning homes, and a few other things.  After all of that, I knew teaching was for me!  After graduating college, I worked for the Chilton School district for 2 years as a tutor for their short term homebound students covering all grade levels 1-12 and all core subjects.  Since 1986 I have worked at Chilton Area Catholic School.  I began in a 5/6 split, moved to 6th grade, and am currently teaching 3rd grade.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS:  In my free time I enjoy doing craft/art projects, reading, knitting/crocheting, sewing, playing board games with my family, and working outside in the yard.  I love spending time with my extended family and friends playing sheephead, dominoes, helping them with projects/jobs, or just visiting.  On the quieter side, I enjoy sitting or walking among God’s creation silently relaxing.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS: It is important to be involved and that is why over the years I have supervised a variety of clubs/groups at the school and will continue to do so.  I am a Member of Good Shepherd Parish.  I am part of a Relay for Life team for Calumet County.  This team helps to raise money to support cancer research.

PERSONAL / PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT: My favorite prayer is the Serenity Prayer because each day is a challenge and a reward.  Embrace it with love, courage, gentleness, and always be hopeful!

MOST EXCITED ABOUT: Meeting my new students and all the wonders and challenges that come with a new year and new students. Even after all these years I still enjoy getting up each day and working with the students. I get to help the students expand their knowledge of God’s universe and they teach me as well. I believe you are never too old to learn something new and you should always be optimistic. If you take the time to look around, you will find something wonderful and each year I do!

This site has a variety of areas the students can practice that are in the format of fun games or drill skills. The program evaluates the students as they use the site and allows them to move forward. I encourage the students to use it at home as well as at school.
