What is Scrip?

• Scrip is a term that means “substitute money.” When you purchase Scrip you are buying gift

  cards/certificates that are used just like cash.

How does Scrip make money?

• Retailers sell the gift card to us at a discount. The discount then becomes the profit. For example: Dairy Queen donates 10%. CACS buys $100 of DQ gift certificates at a cost of $90 then sells it for $100.

Where can I use Scrip?

• Scrip is issued by the local and national retailers where many of us already shop. These merchants

  want to support non-profit organizations, and in return ask you to support them by shopping with Scrip at their stones. We can use Scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, gas, and essentials. With every purchase, revenue is earned for CACS.

How can I benefit from Scrip?

• Fifty percent (50%) of profit made by or on behalf of the school or RE family will be applied toward the family’s tuition. A form must be completed by the purchaser if buying on behalf of a family so it will be credited

  accordingly. (Ex: You buy $100 in Dairy Queen Scrip which gives a 10% rebate. Of the $10 of profit that was earned from this

  sale, you will receive 50%, $5, towards your tuition.)

Where can I get Scrip?

• Scrip is available at CACS, State Bank of Chilton and available after all weekend masses in the back of

  church. You can also order scrip online at www.raiseright.com or through the Raise Right app right on your phone.

  Registration is required for the online platforms.

Reverse Scrip

• Chilton Furniture offers a 4% rebate, Dr. Amato (Orthodontics) offers a 6% rebate, and Stanley Schmitz offers

  a 3% rebate. A simple form completed by the vendor is required to participate in this program. Mention that you would like

  to use Reverse Scrip for CACS at the time of purchase and any of these participating retailers..

Pick a Scrip

• We also offer Pick-A-Scrip. This is basically a gift certificate for Scrip if you are looking to purchase a gift for

  someone but just don’t know where they shop or what they would like. The person receiving a Pick-A-Scrip certificate may

  redeem the certificate at CACS or after Mass for the Scrip card of their choice.
