SLA is an extension of the CatholicLeader Academy program our teachers have been involved in over the past few years. In this program, students in 5th–8th grade learn valuable leadership skills—and then put those skills into action by helping teach younger students about leadership too!
This week, we saw something especially inspiring. A group of our 6th grade Student Leaders noticed a problem affecting some of our students and decided they wanted to help create a solution. They brought their concerns—and their ideas—to Mrs. Meyers, along with a plan for how they could raise money to make it happen.
Mrs. Meyers encouraged them to take the next step and meet with Father Jon, since he makes the final decisions—and they did just that!
Earlier this week, these young leaders presented their ideas to Father Jon. They were prepared, organized, confident, and incredibly well-spoken. He was impressed and gave them next steps, with plans to meet with them again soon.
We are so proud of these girls for stepping up, using their voices, and showing what true leadership looks like. This is exactly what StudentLeader Academy is all about! 💙

Yesterday was Saint George's Feast day. Our 4k students taught their 5th grade buddies about him! We had a feast party and later played knights vs dragons! 🐉🎉🛡️

Leave your birthday wishes for our business manager, Mrs. Winkel!

Last week, our third graders took a meaningful journey through the Passion of Christ in a very special way. Each student created a short activity and prayer for one of the Stations of the Cross and together they transformed the classroom into a beautiful station walk experience. As they journeyed through the Passion of Christ, they took time to reflect, pray, and connect with the story in a hands-on way.
To finish, each student created a wooden cross using clothespins—a simple but powerful reminder of what Jesus did for us. ✝️

Family Challenge: Renew your Baptism promises together (like at the Easter Vigil), hide "Resurrection eggs" with Bible verses about Jesus rising, and share a photo of your family's Easter smiles in the comments. Let's spread the light of Christ! 🌟
The 50 days of Easter are one big party of hope—let's live it with full hearts! He is risen indeed! 🙌

Using simple materials and a lot of heart, students created their own set of eggs; each one representing an important part of the story from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. Through this hands-on activity, they didn’t just learn the story… they learned how to tell it. This serves as a beautiful reminder that even our youngest learners can be powerful storytellers of faith.
We are so proud of our 2nd graders and the thoughtful work they’ve done to prepare for Easter!

Pope Francis reminded us: "Before the image of the crucified God, we will bring... the sufferings of the sick, the poor, the rejected... the innocent victims," asking Jesus to comfort them as He comforts us. Think of Jesus hugging you through hard times—He forgives everything if we say sorry with a humble heart!
Family Challenge: Fast simply today, pray the Stations of the Cross together, and draw a picture of Jesus on the Cross with a big heart for His love. Share your drawings in the comments!
Let’s adore the Cross and trust in Jesus' victory over death. Happy Easter is coming! 🕊️✝️

📚 Who loves to read? We sure do at CACS!
Our students recently had the chance to join our Lunch Book Bunch, and it was a huge hit! During their lunch recess, Ms. Rebecca Barry from the Chilton Public Library visited the CACS Library Media Center to share exciting books and highlight all the amazing opportunities available at the public library.
From discovering new stories to learning about fun activities, students were fully engaged and eager to explore more. With over 60 enthusiastic readers across both lunch sessions, it’s clear that the love of reading is alive and well at CACS!
We’re so grateful for this partnership and can’t wait for our students to dive into their next great read. 📖✨

We will have two performances: one in the afternoon at 1:30 and another in the evening at 6:00. All are welcome to attend and begin their Holy Week with reflection and reverence.
"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

🎨🔥 Creativity has been on fire in our art room this quarter!
During the third quarter, CACS art students rolled up their sleeves and got their hands messy working with clay to create unique ceramic projects. Each grade level took on a different challenge, showing off their creativity and craftsmanship in their own special way.
And our in-house kiln? It’s been working overtime bringing all these amazing creations to life!
We’re so proud of our talented young artists—stay tuned for a showcase of their incredible work! 🏺✨

We are proud to recognize Mrs. Samantha Meyers, recipient of the Herb Kohl Award for Principal Leadership. Since joining CACS in 2021, Mrs. Meyers has brought not only her professionalism and passion for education, but also a deep personal connection as an alumna and current parent.
Her commitment to faith-filled education, her care for our students and families, and her leadership within our school are truly inspiring. We are grateful for the many ways she serves our community each and every day.
Congratulations, Mrs. Meyers, and thank you for all you do for CACS!!

The Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship Awards were announced this morning and we have a winner - Mrs. Sabrina Holden!
Mrs. Holden is incredibly deserving of this award. She is amazing at her job, especially building relationships of trust with students. She's an advocate for student achievement and a champion for student opportunities. She knows how to get the best out of every student - their best effort, best behavior, and best attitude. Ask any student who graduated from CACS in the last 20 years who their favorite teacher was, and Mrs. Holden will be the answer many of them give. She prepares them for the future, both academically and emotionally.
If we tried to list everything she does for our school, this post would never end! Suffice it to say, she is an integral part of what makes our school great and we're so incredibly lucky to have her here.
Congratulations again, Mrs. Holden! We're so very proud of you!
