The 5th and 6th graders have teamed up on a student-led project to plan a field trip in April and raise money so families don't have to pay for admission! They will be visiting Ledge View Nature Center and Thousand Islands Environmental Center to learn more about our Earth and the amazing natural world around us. 🌎
Students can make purchases before school, during 10:00 recess, and during lunch recess now until April 1. They have bracelets, keychains, stickers, and more available. Every purchase helps get them one step closer to this exciting learning adventure. Thank you for supporting our students! 😊

📚🌎 Last week at Bilingual Storytime, we celebrated Read Across America Week in a special way!
Our students enjoyed two wonderful stories—one in English and one in Spanish—bringing the magic of reading to life in two languages. After storytime, everyone got creative by coloring pictures inspired by the stories. 🎨
It’s always so exciting to see young readers learning, laughing, and exploring stories together while building skills in both languages. What a fun way to celebrate the joy of reading! ❤️📖

If your schedule allows, we warmly invite you to join us on Friday afternoons at 12:15 to share in this meaningful and prayerful experience.
Mark your calendars for the Passion Play--Aprol 1st at 1:30 and 6:00.

The kids love guessing who is coming and enjoy hearing new stories from our surprise guests!
Thank you for making reading extra fun!

Today, they turned our classroom into an obstacle course and worked in teams to guide their blindfolded partners safely through using only their words. Talk about teamwork, communication, and lots of laughter!
Afterward, we had a great discussion about what makes a successful mentor and mentee; focusing on trust, encouragement, patience, and leadership. So proud of the way these students are growing in confidence and character each day!

Join us for the CACS Fish Fry at Hickory Hills Country Club! Enjoy a delicious, freshly prepared meal and give your kitchen the night off — you deserve it! Dine in and enjoy great food, fun, and fellowship.
📞 Short on time? Call Hickory Hills starting at 4:00 PM to place your to-go order and take the goodness home!
Bring your family, invite a friend, and come hungry! We can’t wait to see you there! 🎉

StudentLeader Academy brings together motivated 5th–8th grade students twice a month to grow as leaders. They don’t just learn about leadership — they practice it. Through hands-on activities, collaboration, and reflection, they build important skills like communication, responsibility, teamwork, and confidence.
But the best part? They pass it on. 💙
Our StudentLeader Academy members work in small teams of 3–4 students and are paired with a 5K–4th grade classroom for the entire school year. Throughout the year, they lead lessons and activities that teach leadership skills to our younger students — building meaningful relationships and becoming positive role models along the way.
It’s inspiring to see our older students step up, grow in confidence, and make a lasting impact within our school community.
This program is an extension of CatholicLeader Academy, which our teachers completed, and for the past three years, we’ve been proud to bring this leadership journey to our students as well.
Today we celebrate their dedication, their growth, and the difference they make every day. 🌟

What's going on in 3K lately?
Well I'm glad you asked because there has been a lot of fun days in these first few weeks of February!
February brought the 100th day of school for the 3K students where they dressed up as "old" people. Look at the costumes - and the wrinkles - and the Life Alert!
We also celebrated St Valentine's Day by practicing being kind to one another. We handed out treats and worked on ways to help each other out.
Don't miss your chance to join in the 3K fun next year - enrollment is now open!

Happy Ash Wednesday from CACS! ✝️
Today marks the start of Lent, our 40-day journey of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving toward Easter joy. At Mass, we received ashes on our foreheads with the words: "Repent and be faithful to the gospel." Thank you to everyone who attended 8:00 Mass with us this morning - it was an incredibly full church!
Today also marks the start of a special fast. We are each called to choose something to "give up" or fast from during Lent to grow closer to Jesus. Things like video games, unhealthy foods and drinks, and unkind words are all great examples of things to give up.
Let's make this Lent special: pray together, share kindness, and grow closer to Jesus! Parents, talk about it at home – what sacrifices will your family choose?
Let's pray together: Lord, help us turn from sin and follow You faithfully. Amen.

Today we celebrated the 100th Day of School, and it was a day to remember! Our 3K–1st grade students dressed up like they were 100 years old and enjoyed fun, hands-on activities like a 100-word scavenger hunt and creating 100 cereal necklaces.
Our older students got creative by drawing pictures of what they might look like at 100 years old, following a directed draw video. So many smiles, laughs, and imagination on display!
We made wonderful memories and had a fantastic time celebrating being 100 days smarter! 💯✨

We also enjoyed some under-the-sea themed movies and popcorn as we continued celebrating our year-long theme, “Dive Into Christ’s Love.” It was a fintastic day filled with fun, fellowship, and faith!
