StudentLeader Academy brings together motivated 5th–8th grade students twice a month to grow as leaders. They don’t just learn about leadership — they practice it. Through hands-on activities, collaboration, and reflection, they build important skills like communication, responsibility, teamwork, and confidence.
But the best part? They pass it on. 💙
Our StudentLeader Academy members work in small teams of 3–4 students and are paired with a 5K–4th grade classroom for the entire school year. Throughout the year, they lead lessons and activities that teach leadership skills to our younger students — building meaningful relationships and becoming positive role models along the way.
It’s inspiring to see our older students step up, grow in confidence, and make a lasting impact within our school community.
This program is an extension of CatholicLeader Academy, which our teachers completed, and for the past three years, we’ve been proud to bring this leadership journey to our students as well.
Today we celebrate their dedication, their growth, and the difference they make every day. 🌟

What's going on in 3K lately?
Well I'm glad you asked because there has been a lot of fun days in these first few weeks of February!
February brought the 100th day of school for the 3K students where they dressed up as "old" people. Look at the costumes - and the wrinkles - and the Life Alert!
We also celebrated St Valentine's Day by practicing being kind to one another. We handed out treats and worked on ways to help each other out.
Don't miss your chance to join in the 3K fun next year - enrollment is now open!

Happy Ash Wednesday from CACS! ✝️
Today marks the start of Lent, our 40-day journey of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving toward Easter joy. At Mass, we received ashes on our foreheads with the words: "Repent and be faithful to the gospel." Thank you to everyone who attended 8:00 Mass with us this morning - it was an incredibly full church!
Today also marks the start of a special fast. We are each called to choose something to "give up" or fast from during Lent to grow closer to Jesus. Things like video games, unhealthy foods and drinks, and unkind words are all great examples of things to give up.
Let's make this Lent special: pray together, share kindness, and grow closer to Jesus! Parents, talk about it at home – what sacrifices will your family choose?
Let's pray together: Lord, help us turn from sin and follow You faithfully. Amen.

Today we celebrated the 100th Day of School, and it was a day to remember! Our 3K–1st grade students dressed up like they were 100 years old and enjoyed fun, hands-on activities like a 100-word scavenger hunt and creating 100 cereal necklaces.
Our older students got creative by drawing pictures of what they might look like at 100 years old, following a directed draw video. So many smiles, laughs, and imagination on display!
We made wonderful memories and had a fantastic time celebrating being 100 days smarter! 💯✨

We also enjoyed some under-the-sea themed movies and popcorn as we continued celebrating our year-long theme, “Dive Into Christ’s Love.” It was a fintastic day filled with fun, fellowship, and faith!

Monday kicked off one of our favorite weeks of the year with our January Assembly—and some very special guests! Deputy Matuszak and his partner, K9 Alek, visited to teach us all about K9 units and the important work Alek does to help the Calumet County Sheriff’s Department. We were amazed by Alek’s strength and skills… especially when he earned his “paycheck” at the end—playtime with his favorite toy! 🐶💪
Students and staff showed their community spirit by dressing up in animal prints and patterns as we began our donation drive for the Eastshore Humane Society, which will continue all week. 🐾💙
We also celebrated our January Diver Award recipients—students who practiced the virtue of love throughout the month of January. ❤️
Such a fun, meaningful way to start a week full of connection, kindness, and community!

We started the day with a beautiful 10:00 AM Mass led by our students—and it was a full house! 🙏💙
Then came our Spaghetti Dinner, where we served a record-breaking 511 meals 🍝👏 Huge thanks to our incredible students and parents who jumped in to cook, serve, clean, and keep everything running smoothly.
Our Open House stayed buzzing all afternoon, and the Book Fair was PACKED—reaching 80% of our goal in just ONE day! 📚🎯
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, and a special shout-out to all of our amazing volunteers who made this day such a success. 💛
If this kickoff is any indication… it’s going to be an awesome week celebrating our school! 🎊🏫

We hope to see you there!

At CACS, we are guided by Jesus’ words: “Love one another as I have loved you.” Dr. King showed us how faith, courage, and love for others can help make the world a better place.
